Cindy & Biscuit are back with the conclusion to ‘The Bad Girl’. After last issues devastating cliffhanger, we catch up with the plucky pair as they continue their epic struggle with the mysterious witch girl that’s been haunting the woods, and Cindy’s life…
It’s 56 pages of mayhem, as C&B battle for their life in the strangest environment yet. Wherever it is, it’s not the woods any more, that’s for sure…it’s somewhere darker, weirder and potentially deadly!

Cindy & Biscuit have been nominated twice for the British Comic Awards, and count among their fans Brandon Graham, James Stokoe, Kieron Gillen and Si Spurrier. The TCJ described his work as “immediately appealing, chunky cartooning (with an) ever-present desire to peek round the darker corners of the psych” and Forbidden Planet Blog state that “Cindy & Biscuit is a spectacular comic, full of incredible action, powerful emotions, wonderful storytelling”.
Very pleased to announce that Cindy & Biscuit Vol 1: We Love Trouble has been nominated fir the Best Young Person’s Comic at the British Comic Awards. Needless to say I’m super proud, and am in some pretty darn impressive company. You can read more about it here: http://britishcomicawards.com/awards/young-peoples-comic-awards/
I’ll find out the result the day before Thought Bubble, my very favourite comics festival, at the Young Person’s Award ceremony. This is the second time the plucky pair have been nominated, and last time I faced a grilling from some of the school kids who helped judged the competition. Looking forward to getting some of those tricky questions again this year…
Thanks to those who voted for me, and fingers crossed!
Last year, as part of the E17 Art Trail, I designed a site-specific Cindy & Biscuit strip for the Arts & Crusts cafe in Walthamstow. This was displayed in the 12 windowpanes on the front of the cafe, effectively making the building into a comic strip. This was printed on adhesive stickers (of the type that are used in shop displays), and the white space behind Cindy & Biscuit was machine cut so the people in the cafe could get a bit of daylight.
It’s been up since last year and has been a real hit with the local community. I’m extremely proud of it, but couldn’t let an original C&B strip only be seen by the residents of Walthamstow, so am presenting it here for you…

28 b+w pages, colour cover
After it’s debut at this year’s Thought Bubble, Cindy & Biscuit no.4 is finally available. 28 pages, comprised of all of the Cindy & Biscuit one-pagers, Cindy & Biscuit and Mr Andrews, as well as the brand new strip ‘Cindy & Biscuit in Abominable’.
I’m super proud of this work – it’s the densest, most formally playful work I’ve ever done, but still includes plenty of hitting and smashing. Don’t forget that Cindy & Biscuit were also nominated for Best Young Person’s Comic at this year’s British Comic Awards!
You can buy it over at the Milk The Cat Shop, along with their other adventures

I spent the day, along with Warwick Johnson Cadwell (Tank Girl), Gary Northfield (Derek The Sheep, Teeny Tinysauryus) , Viviane Schwarz (There are Cats In This Book), Mark Buckingham (Miracleman, Fables, Tyranny Rex), David O’Conell and Lawrence Campbell (Avengers, BPRD), doing cartooning workshops with kids, and drawing on Gosh’s windows – lovely!
